The Yemeni Coalition for Monitoring Human Rights Violations - Rasd Coalition condemns the heinous massacre committed by the Houthi group yesterday, which comes in a series of ongoing violations against civilians in Yemen. According to Rasd Coalition monitor, at 12:30 pm, a Houthi drone dropped a single bomb on the public market in the Bumiyah area, Al-Barashah, Maqbanah district, south of Hais district, during a heavy presence of civilians in the market. The victims were taken to the medical clinic of the Seventh Giants Brigade in Hais district, Hodeidah, after the explosion.

According to the field monitoring of Rasd Coalition, the number of victims reached 7 dead and 9 wounded, including an 8-year-old child and 4 injured in critical condition and receiving treatment in Aden hospitals. The remaining six wounded are receiving treatment in Al-Khokha and Al-Mokha hospitals.

This is not the first crime committed by the Houthi group against civilians in the liberated Maqbanah district bordering the Mokha and Hais districts, where the Houthi group has committed several crimes and violations against civilians in the past.

We also call on the United Nations, the international community, and the Office of the UN Envoy to Yemen, to pressure the Houthi group to stop committing crimes and violations against innocent civilians in Yemen.
